What is Areas/Regions?
Areas/Regions are a large amount of land which many hikes or places can be. An example would be the Himilayas which is the largest region of mountains in the world.
What is a Trip Report?
A Trip Report is a page that someone tells about there experience on a hike or place, often times helps give one a perspective of places, so can be both informative and intertaining.

All Hiking Related Pages can be Edited?
All pages excluding forums, profiles, trip reports and photos are editable by all users, which is called a wiki. This is to get the most information as possible. Single page owners don't always have much information which is why hikrs allows edits of all information pages.
What's a Easy Way to remember Hikrs.com?
An easy way for you to remember the name is think of hikers without the "e" which some would pronounce it hikars but when ever I say the name of the iste I still think of the word hikers..... another idea would be to save a link. ;-)
What's a Profile Image?
Your profile image is the main image that goes in your profile, in forums and comments it's a thumbnail, as well as in the user list. To replace it, you can go to edit on your profile, and go to the link that says update profile image, which will delete the old one and put in a new one.
Whats Profile Visitor?
Profile Visitor is a tracker that makes it so you can see who last visited your profile, you have the option to have it visible to yourself, your friends, or let everyone see it.
What is an Editor?
An editor helps make posting pages simpler, remember there not perfect so errors and minor bugs may occur once in a while. If your good with html, feel free to select no editor, anytime you want you can switch, but you have to relogin for the editor swap to take place. Editors have buttons to make creating html stuff easier, wether it's creating a table, or centering text, or making bold letters, diffrent editors have diffrent features. They also make copy and pasting items easy.
How to Insert Google Map
Press the Google Maps Button, browse to a location of which you wish to insert, on the right side there are some options, which the most probable mode to use is hybrid mode. For more info, http://www.hikrs.com/plugins/editors-xtd/igoomap/manual/help.html .
How to Insert a Posted Photo
Press the insert photo button at the bottom, filter though the catigories which the photo you may want. Note, if many catigories are posted, looking through may be difficult. In further options check the box detail if you want the photo to be big. If you already know the photo id, all you have to do is put it in {joomplu: insert_Photo ID} which can be found at the end of the url of a photo, exept thumbnails and originals.
What are Attachments for?
Attachments could be useful for kml files (which is a google earth file that can display things or place marks) or other items that has relevance to the page.
Versions?
If someone messes up a page, many backups are created, every time you edit a page, a back up is created, so lets say you edit a page 5 times, there would be 5 backups of the page just from your edits. All you have to do is click a backup to restore the page, but only do this if someone has tampered or lowered the quality of the page, if your not sure if someone's edit was ok, post in the support forum.
Insert Tabs?
When you click the Insert Tabs Button, you may get something on the editor similar to this
{tab =Overview } {tab =Gallery } {tab =Map } { /tabs }
You can add or remove tabs, which to add one its simple { tab=name } (change name to what you want it)
This makes pages look nicer and easier to browse through. Although when posting do not have space in the names.
